It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dentist Joe. A loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to so many of you all. He will be sadly missed by us, by his extended family around the world and his wide circle of friends. He passed away peacefully on 08/03/20 surrounded by his family. I have been a Dental Hygienist for over 35 yrs. I graduated in 1979 from Newcastle Dental School, married Joe in 1981 and I have worked in practices in Newcastle, The Lake District and Hull & East Riding. I joined with Joe in August 1989 and have two children together, Martin and Catherine. read more →

My keep fit hobbies include running, power walking, climbing and pilates. Recently due to a knee operation I have had to eliminate the running and am concentrating on cycling instead. I have done The Great North Run four times and have climbed Ben Nevis once and Croagh Patrick in Ireland twice .

Other hobbies include gardening , ceramics and dressmaking, playing the flute and I am also a member of a choir.

I love my job and get huge satisfaction out of helping and educating people in maintaining healthy mouths. I do this with the support of our great team. I regularly attend a number of dental study courses to expand my knowledge and keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry.

Hi, I'm Rebecca. GDC Number 125181.

I have been working here at St Andrews Dental Care since 2004 now, you could say I am part of the furniture. So hopefully I can answer any questions thrown at me by now. I have a great interest in dentistry and love to go on any courses so I can to up my skills. Cosmetic Dentistry especially is an interest of mine because it can increase self-esteem, confidence and enhance your overall appearance and I love to be part of making this happen. My friends like to describe as big mouth which is quite appropriate I suppose! In my own time I like to go ice skating, shopping and attending festivals. I love spending time with my family and friends. Jo and Joe are such a pleasure to work for, I call them my work mum and dad. I have to thank them for where I am today because I couldn’t have done it without all there help. Hopefully see you all in the future, Keep Smiling!

I started here at St. Andrews dental care in April 2017 but I’m not a stranger to the practice as when I was training about 10 years ago I came here to cover maternity and qualified whilst working here. When it was time I had to leave I was so sad to be leaving such a family feel practice and great team, so when the job came up I jumped at the chance to be part of it again! read more →

I have worked in both NHS and private dental work but thoroughly enjoy and prefer private as I can build up a friendly relationship with patients and follow their journeys giving them the smile they want.

I enjoy implants and orthodontics as I’m involved from start to finish and see the amazing results achieved. When I’m not working I love spending time with my family, partner and 2 children which of course keeps me very busy and entertained making great memories.

Mr Chris Ziaras DDS PgDip Ortho GDC reg 102236

Chris qualified from the University of Athens in 2005 and spent a year in military hospitals and army camps in Greece as a military dentist during his national service. He came over to the UK in 2006 where he worked as head clinician and dentist/dental nurse mentor and also radiation protection supervisor for a large corporate practice in Hull. At the same time he was a member of the east locality of the East Riding of Yorkshire Primary Care Trust working actively towards the improvement of NHS dental services and caries prevention in low socioeconomic areas in Hull. read more →

He has attended several advanced courses in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics (root canals) and Tooth Whitening (Bleaching) and he is very keen on smile reconstructions with white fillings, veneers and porcelain crowns. His biggest passion however is pain free dentistry.

Since 2011 he has concentrated in private dentistry investing heavily in his professional development. He offers Invisalign, fixed Adult braces (Six Month Smiles, Clear Braces), Botox and Derma Fillers.

In December 2022 Chris completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics for General Practice.

Chris is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the British Dental Association. He loves his family life, his pooch and Judo.

I have been a dental nurse for 16 years.I have worked in both NHS and private dentistry. I worked with patients with special needs and dental phobias as well as cosmetic dentistry and implants. read more →

I love my job and get great job satisfaction when a patient leaves feeling happy and confident to smile.

When I aren't working I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and son, having days out.

I am really looking forward to being a part of the team here at St Andrews dental centre.
