Do you take on NHS patients?

We are not a part of the National Health Service, however we are taking on new patients on a private basis and we can offer a wide range of treatment options.

What do I do if I have a dental emergency and need help?

Please telephone the practice on 01482 225689 as soon as possible. We will do everything we can to help you. The earlier in the day that you ring, the more likely you are to be seen that same day and at a time that suits you best. If the practice is closed and you cannot wait until opening time, please telephone and listen to the answer phone message which will give you instructions on accessing our out of hours emergency service which may incur a charge of £180.00.

How do I book an appointment?

Please ring (01482 225689) email (smile@standrewsdentalcare.com), or pop in to the practice, and we will book an appointment that is convenient for you. A new patient consultation deposit is required in advance prior to booking the appointment. We will send you a reminder by text before your appointment. If you need to cancel or change an appointment please give us as much notice as possible, at least 24 hours. We look forward to hearing from you

I am really nervous of the dentist, can you help?

Many people feel a bit nervous at the thought of seeing the dentist, particularly a new dentist. The first thing to do is make an appointment and tell us you are nervous. We will listen to you and will do everything we can to help. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a long time you may be really worried about how much treatment you need. Most of the time it is nowhere near as bad as you imagine. The biggest thing is picking up the phone and making the appointment. Our friendly team is here to help!

How do I find you and do you have parking?

On our contact page we have a map to show you our location. Nearby parking is available at St Andrews Retail Park which is roughly a 2 minute walk from the practice, here you have 2 hours free parking. On street parking is also available.

Do you have a dental care plan?

Yes we do. The plan is designed to encourage regular attendance so to maintain a healthy and beautiful smile with the bonus of reduced fees for most treatments. Please check out our membership scheme here.

What should I expect on my first appointment at the practice?

Your first visit to the dentist will start with us taking some medical details and then Joe Rawcliffe will sit with you for a little while to discuss your past and current dental treatment needs. Following this informal meeting there will be a thorough examination of your mouth, soft tissues, gums, teeth, jaws, joints and muscles. Following this an x-ray may be needed to complete this part of your visit so that we can effectively establish your exact needs.

Our aim is to give you a healthier smile which you can be proud of!

Can I spread the cost of my treatment?

Yes, we offer special finance packages that allow you to pay your fees back, interest free, over the course of 6-12 months. Please ask a member of staff for more details.

What will my treatment cost?

This will vary according to the treatment required. It is important to us that to attain the best results we need to use the best materials and the latest technology to provide you with treatment you deserve. Treatment plans and the involved investment are discussed and explained at your consultation appointment. A written treatment breakdown and estimate will be given to you. We offer interest free and low cost payment plans so that you can spread the investment more easily.

Do you do whitening treatment?

Yes and we have years of experience in using a wide range of whitening systems and can advise you in making the best choice for your individual situation. We would recommend booking in for a consultation to find out the best option for you.
